- Since 1st May we have introduced paid parking in the locality Vrátna-Výťah (valley station of the cable car).

Terchová village lies at the foot of National park Malá Fatra and its a birthplace of a famous folk hero Juraj Jánošík. There are many excellent cultural monuments, like Church of St Cyril and Method, inside of which there is a wooden carved picture of the Nativity during Christmas time. In the summer the village is a place of many cultural and religious events, which every year attracts many tourists from all over the world. The Cyril and Method days are held at the beginning of July every year. An international festival of folklore Jánošíkove dni (Jánošík days) is organized the first weekend in August.
It is possible to visit exposition in Považské museum of Jánošík in Terchová, where you can find historical documents and materials about Terchová and folk customs (for example rack, objects used during carnival, the needs of the agricultural household in the past). www.terchova.sk
